Delivery Policy

For orders over R1000, The Lemon Box delivers FREE throughout South Africa with either standard, post office or pick up point deliveries depending on where the shopper is based.

For orders under R1000, The Lemon Box charges a standard, non-refundable delivery fee of R90 to R150. Should a shopper in an outlying area wish to have their order delivered via standard delivery, a set delivery fee of R150 is charged irrespective of order value.

Delivery takes place during office hours and the shopper cannot select the exact date, or time, for the delivery.

There are no deliveries after hours, over weekends or on public holidays. Please take this into consideration when selecting your delivery address.

During checkout, the buyer indicates where in South Africa you require delivery to and based on your delivery address and postal code, The Lemon Box will indicate which delivery options are available.

In the case of standard delivery, your parcel will be delivered to the address you specified in the checkout process within 3 - 4 working days. If nobody is present at the address at the time of delivery, our courier will make a second attempt to deliver on the next working day. The courier will try once more (third attempt), and if at that time there is still no one to sign for the parcel, the parcel will be returned to our warehouse and a return will be processed for the goods. You will be refunded via EFT. Should a delivery fee have been charged on the order, this will not be reimbursed, given that the courier has attempted delivery on numerous occasions.

In the case of post office delivery, your order will be delivered to the post office nearest to your address within the postal code you selected. If the parcel is not collected within 30 days of it being delivered to the post office, the parcel will be returned to our warehouse and a return will be processed for the goods. You will be refunded via EFT.

In the case of a pick up point delivery, your order will be delivered to your selected pick up point. If the parcel is not collected within 8 calendar days of being delivered, the parcel will be returned to our warehouse and a return will be processed for the goods. You will be refunded via EFT.

Standard Delivery Timeframes

Delivery time frames for standard delivery depend on your delivery address, postal code and selected delivery option. Normally deliveries will take 3 – 4 working days.

Please note that during high volume periods like seasonal sales, Black Friday or Cyber Monday The Lemon Box reserves the right to extend their delivery time frames. The Lemon Box will ensure the customer is presented with the extended delivery times before committing to the order

Late Delivery

The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act") entitles you to cancel your purchase within 7 days if the products you have purchased are not be delivered within the agreed delivery period as specified in the The Lemon Box Terms and Conditions. The product(s) in question must be returned to The Lemon Box in their original state, including all labels. Any such cancellation must be done by via email to info@thelemonbox.com. We will then process your refund.

Stock Shortages

Every effort will be made to ensure that The Lemon Box can fulfill your entire order once a purchasing contract (“sale”) comes into effect. However, if when packing your order, The Lemon Box is unable to fulfill certain product(s) in your order:

The Lemon Box will notify you thereof by emailing you and by allocating store credit to your The Lemon Box account to the value of the Rands paid/the value of The Lemon Box gift vouchers used for the product(s) that could not be sent to you. Should you wish to be refunded for the products that could not be sent to you please reply to the email received, in order to inform our client service team that you wish to have your store credit converted into a refund. Your requested refund will be done via eft into the account which you will be required to send the details for.

In the event of a promotional/discount coupon being used against your order and a stock shortage is communicated, The Lemon Box will not allocate the value of the discount/coupon as store credit. Please refer to the specific coupon Terms and Conditions for more information on whether the voucher will be reinstated and, if relevant, how the reinstated voucher will be sent to you

If you become aware of the fact that product(s) is/are missing once you receive your parcel and The Lemon Box does not notify you thereof via email beforehand, please contact The Lemon Box as soon as possible via email to info@thelemonbox.com to notify The Lemon Box thereof so that we can resolve the situation as quickly as possible. When contacting The Lemon Box via email regarding missing product(s), please use your order number and the phrase “missing product(s)” in the subject line of your email.
